As previously reported, Cain Velasquez inked a lucrative multiyear deal with WWE and has effectively retired from the UFC.
While terms of his contract are not known, it is believed to be a three-year pact.
“Yeah, I’ll be here for the next three years, for sure,” Velasquez told WrestlingNews.co “As I get better and better, I’m gonna keep doing this. I love it. I’m gonna keep doing it.”
Velasquez, 37, debuted with WWE on the SmackDown on FOX premiere and will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel on Oct. 31. He is aligned with Rey Mysterio in storylines and is scheduled to tag with him following the program with Brock.
