Fightful.com talked to an anonymous source within the FOX television network, who provided the following updates:
- FOX remains happy with how things have gone with WWE Friday Night SmackDown thus far. Some had wondered if the honeymoon period was already over since SmackDown’s viewership numbers have dropped but that does not appear to be the case.
- Regarding CM Punk and him possibly being part of the WWE Backstage show on FS1, his tryout went well and he impressed the team. The decision was left in the hands of the higher ups and FOX. As recently as this week it seemed as though they had moved on but nothing is said to be concrete as of now.
