UFC legend Cain Velasquez had a meeting with WWE, according to Dave Meltzer. He’s also checked in with New Japan Pro Wrestling and AEW as well.
Velasquez made his professional wrestling debut at AAA TripleMania XXVII and recently made an appearance at the AAA Invades NY show. AAA has booked him for their Invading LA show on Oct. 13 at The Forum.
Velasquez remains under contract with UFC, which limits what he can do in professional wrestling in the United States. However, Velasquez’s talks with WWE are reportedly serious, although it’s unknown where things stand with All Elite Wrestling.
In July 2018, Cain trained at the WWE Performance Center.
