WWE’s Old Schedule Of Touring Will Reportedly Never Return

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, WWE was severely affected. The company had many plans for the year but they had to change all of them owing to the pandemic. Touring was brought to a halt and it seems it will never be as it once was.

As reported by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Superstars have been informed by the company that “the old way of touring is not coming back.” This will not change even if the company begins touring in the future again.

This was told to Superstars who were negotiating their contracts with the promotion.

There is talent in WWE that has been told in recent contract negotiations that the old way of touring is not coming back, even if and when the country bounces back from COVID.

WWE released several employees who were responsible for the live events. Ten to fifteen employees including Tony Chimel were let go earlier this week. The company were able to save a significant amount of money by cancelling their live touring schedule entirely.

It was also noted that WWE will not totally nix live events as they can still hold house shows in Madison Square Garden and other places.
