Kenny Omega was scheduled to compete against Adam Page in the finals of the #1 Contender’s tournament for the AEW World Heavyweight Title.
It was the first match of the Full Gear pay-per-view and it was certainly a match that fans enjoyed as the former AEW World Tag Team Champions took each other apart to win the match.
It was an intense affair from start to finish as both wrestlers were determined to pick up the win and received the opportunity. Ultimately, it was Kenny Omega who won the match. The final moments of the match saw Omega hitting a One-Winged Angel on Page and getting the three count.
He is now the new #1 contender for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship.
