WWE confirmed on the Clash of Champions Kickoff that Nikki Cross, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler are not medically cleared to compete.
The status of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match will be addressed on tomorrow night’s episode of Monday Night Raw, as it was officially removed from Clash of Champions. It is rumored that Bayley will still defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at the pay-per-view against a replacement opponent.
WWE did not elaborate on why the superstars were not cleared to compete. Obviously the speculation is the absences are related to COVID-19 concerns but that is not confirmed. There is an active COVID-19 outbreak in WWE NXT and the WWE Performance Center.
