Impact Wrestling Results & Reactions – (9/1/2020)

Sami Callihan def. Rob Van Dam via school boy in the opening match. Katie Forbes attempted to interfere throughout, but it was to no avail. After the match, RVD and Forbes beat down Callihan once again.

At Wrestle House, Rosemary, Taya, and Bravo offer their thoughts of their history tonight’s upcoming match. Elsewhere, everyone awaits for Johnny Swinger to emerge from Crazzy Steve’s room. Swinger comes out with face paint. Dreamer informs Bravo that he’ll have to ref Taya vs. Rosemary

Rhino def. Reno Scum in a handicap match via pinfall. Scum kept Rhino grounded throughout. At the end, Heath got involved and was revealed to be one of the ringside cameramen. Post-match, Heath runs from security as Scott D’Amore asks Rhino what just happened.

EC3 issues another warning to Moose via a TV screen, prompting Moose to yell at someone in the hall to be on the lookout. Elsewhere, The Good Brothers entertain security before The Rascalz walk up. They discuss their issues Ace & Fulton.

At Wrestle House, Swinger talks to Bravo. Acey and Larry break out in a fight with The Deaners. By the end, Susie is seen with a bloody hand.

The Rascalz def. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton via pinfall with Dez going Ace. After, Motor City Machine Guns come out and challenge The Rascalz to a title match next week. Before they respond, Ace & Fulton lay out Dez & Wentz. MCMG chase them off. Based on recent booking trends, there’s a strong chance that Bound For Glory will see MCMG vs. Rascalz vs. Good Brothers vs. Ace & Fulton.

Backstage, Deonna confronts people over the Black Tie Affair outfits. She puts down Fallah Bahh before chatting up Kimber Lee. Moose interrupts looking for EC3.

Rohit shines up his X-Division Title as TJP interrupts.

Wrestle House Match: Taya Valkyrie def. Rosemary with John E. Bravo as the ref. Bravo and Rosemary talk it out, resulting in a proposal from Bravo. Taya gives her blessing and Rosemary accepts.

Kimber Lee introduces Deonna Purrazzo for the Black Tie Affair. The likes of The Rascalz, Havok & Nevaeh, Kiera & Tasha, Rohit, Reno Scum, and others at ringside. Deonna takes the mic and thanks everyone for coming to celebrate her. Deonna and Kimber raise a glass. Deonna says nothing will ruin her night as Jordynne interrupts and is underdressed. Tenille Dashwood interrupts, making her surprise return. Jordynne says no one can beat Tenille if she doesn’t show up. Out of nowhere, everyone from Wrestle House blips into the ring. Deonna flips out as Kylie and Susie stand tall in the ring.

Moose interrupts Brian Myers’ backstage interview as he continues looking for EC3.

Impact World Championship Match: Eric Young def. Eddie Edwards (c) via pinfall to become the new champion. It was a hard-fought battle, but Edwards fell short when EY nailed the piledriver for the finish. EY continued attacking Eddie after celebrating his win.

In a post-show credit scene, Moose finds a bulletin board full of images of himself. He tears it down to find a message, “You have been warned.”
