AEW Dynamite Results (8/5/20) – Moxley vs. Allin, Eric Bischoff Moderates Debate

AEW Dynamite Results – 8/5/2020

Dark Order def. Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, Young Bucks & FTR when Brodie Lee pinned Hangman Page.

Jon Moxley addresses his defense against Darby Allin tonight and calls Allin his favorite guy in AEW.

Best Friends def. Santana & Ortiz via pinfall when Trent rolled up Ortiz.

Matt Hardy comes out to the ring and talks about wanting to focus on himself before Sammy Guevara attacks. Guevara ends up putting Hardy through a table, busting Matt open the hard way.

Cody & Matt Cardona def. John Silver & Alex Reynolds via pinfall when Cardona hit Reynolds with Radio Silence. After, Scorpio Sky confronts Cody and wants a TNT Championship match.

Eric Bischoff is out to moderate the debate between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy. Jericho does most of the talking before Cassidy finally tells Jericho to shut up. They will have “the biggest match of their careers” next week. Bischoff declares Cassidy the winner of the debate, which prompts Hager and Jericho to beat up Cassidy. Best Friends make the save.

Big Swole def. Rebel via pinfall. Rebel, aka Reba, was Britt Baker’s choice to face Swole.

AEW World Championship Match: Jon Moxley (c) def. Darby Allin via pinfall with the Paradigm Shift to retain. MJF interfered while Wardlow distracted the ref at one point, but it wasn’t enough to cost him.
