Kofi Kingston is dealing with a legitimate injury, WrestlingNews.com has learned.
WWE ran a segment on last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown with Big E and Kofi Kingston. Kingston was shown coming out of the Doctor/Trainer room where he announced he would be out approximately six weeks due to injury. He sold it like the injury occurred during the Tables Match at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Specifics of Kofi’s injury are not known as of press time. However, we can confirm it is a legitimate injury and is not related to COVID-19.
As we reported here on WrestlingNews.com, WWE plans on giving Big E a run in singles. They do not plan to disband the New Day faction and are operating under the plan of bringing the faction back once Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston return to health.
We are working on obtaining more information as to the specifics of Kofi Kingston’s injury and will have them when they are available.
