Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported that WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Matt Riddle were involved in a verbal altercation backstage prior to the Royal Rumble event.
The encounter never got physical as the two passed each other and Lesnar wanted to make it known where things stood between them. No other details are known at this time.
It’s an interesting situation to analyze considering there was a lot of hype around Lesnar and Riddle possibly meeting in the Rumble match. Lesnar was eliminated before Riddle made a quick appearance at #23. There’s no word yet on if plans changed as a result of the altercation.
