Big Update On Major WWE Commentary Changes

Following up on the changes to WWE commentary that CJ posted about here on WrestlePages.com, the latest plan is for Corey Graves to move to SmackDown to call the show with Michael Cole.

If you missed it, CJ noted the working idea is that Cole will head to SmackDown and Vic Joseph will become the new lead man for Raw. There was no word at the time about Graves.

Per WrestleVotes, Graves will no longer pull double duty and will be exclusive to the “blue brand.” It is not specified whether or not Cole and Graves will work as a two-man booth. Early rumors suggested Renee Young will head to SmackDown, given that she’ll be hosting WWE’s new weekly studio show on FS1 Tuesday nights. If WWE opted to do that, SmackDown would have the current RAW crew.

There is still no word on what happens to Tom Phillips and Byron Saxton, who currently call SmackDown with Graves. The duo could go to RAW with Joseph, as Joseph currently does 205 Live with Aiden English and WWE NXT Superstar Dino Maddin. Madden replaced Nigel McGuinness, who is headed to NXT full-time to call the show live on Wednesdays with Mauro Ranallo and Beth Phoenix.
