Jinder Mahal has been medically cleared to return to the ring and is waiting for the call from WWE.
The former WWE Champion confirmed the news recently to Chris Featherstone, who reached out for comment on his status. The update comes in light of WWE releasing multiple workers last week due to budget cuts over the difficult economic circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mahal has not wrestled since June 2019, where he faced Ali at a WWE live event. He suffered a knee injury that required surgery to repair.
Mahal has been teasing a return and given he was not released, it appears to be on the horizon.
