This week’s SmackDown marked the on-screen return of three WWE stars.
– Alexa Bliss did a run-in to save Nikki Cross from a beatdown at the hands of Sonya Deville & Mandy Rose. This was Bliss’ first appearance since losing the Women’s Tag Team Championship in October. Bliss & Cross will compete in a four-way Tag Team Championship match this Sunday at Starrcade.

– Elias returned during a backstage segment involving Dana Brooke and Drake Maverick. Elias has been out of action with an ankle injury since October.

– A “returning soon” promo for Sheamus aired, as seen at the top of this post. Sheamus has been out of action since reportedly suffering a concussion in April. It appears the Celtic Warrior will remain on SmackDown.
