Elias is backstage at tonight’s SmackDown in Birmingham, Alabama.
He’s been out of action since September with an ankle injury and was scheduled for further evaluation by the WWE medical team. At this point it’s unknown if he’s there to be examined or if he will appear live on the FOX broadcast.
Due to the injury, Elias was not drafted to a brand during WWE’s most recent draft.
