On this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Shorty G announced that he is done with that gimmick. So fans will be seeing Chad Gable return soon.
According to several reports, the idea to change the Shorty G name was a long time coming. Many people backstage, including Daniel Bryan, had been pushing the change since July of this year. Bryan was one of his biggest supporters. However, the plans were delayed for many reasons.
Due to Bryan being part of WWE Creative on Friday Night Smackdown, he has is able to give his input regarding what can be shown on the show. It was said that there is “some optimism” that Gable will receive an opportunity to prove himself.
