Latest Update On COVID-19 In WWE

WWE Producer Adam Pearce, who announced last month he tested positive for COVID-19, is offering encouragement to anyone who is currently battling the virus. He is also reminding people to wear masks.

Pearce tweeted:

“To everyone out there fighting COVID-19:

You’re not alone. I know it feels like it. I know it’s quiet and I know it’s smothering. I know the depression and I know the struggle. There’s a light at the end of that lonely tunnel. Keep seeing it. When you get there everyone you love will be there waiting arms-wide-open. You’re not alone.”

Pearce, along with Renee Young and Kayla Braxton, have publicly announced they have tested positive for the virus. WWE has not been immune to COVID-19 cases and there have been various figures thrown around as to how many people have tested positive. WWE is reportedly telling talent and employees to not announce positive test results to the public.

A couple of weeks ago it was reported there were as many as 25 cases in WWE, while we were told the number was much larger than that, closer to 50. However, with results not released to the public, the figure can only be estimated.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused WWE to run all shows from the Performance Center in Florida since March. That is where SummerSlam will take place, even though Vince had hoped he would have fans back. We have more details on WWE’s next steps in the COVID-19 pandemic in today’s installment of Ask WNC.
